Community Living North Bay gearing up for Giving Tuesday

They'll be collecting socks, hats, mitts, toiletry items, toilet paper, new p.j.’s and new unopened cleaning supplies

Giving Tuesday is a Canadian movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Cyber Monday. The “Opening day of the giving season,” It is a day where charities, companies, and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for favourite causes and think about others.

Community Living North Bay wants to give back to the local community says their news release.

During the month of November, Community Living North Bay will be collecting socks, hats, mitts, toiletry items, toilet paper, new p.j.’s and new unopened cleaning supplies. These donations will then be divided between The Crisis Centre North Bay, AIDS Committee North Bay and PEP (People for Equal Partnership in Mental Health).

Throughout the month, donations can be dropped off at four different locations:

161 Main Street East

214 Second Avenue West

171 Chippewa Street West

245 Albert Street  (Greenwood Baptist Church)

1282 Harriet Street (CrossFit 705)

On November 28th – Giving Tuesday, please join us for lunch at the Home Style Café at 741 Wallace Road as we present the donations to representatives from the Crisis Centre North Bay, AIDS Committee North Bay and PEP. Donate a pair of socks, mitts or toiletry items and enjoy a delicious lunch for only $5! We look forward to seeing you there!
