Unifor Local 103 and Community Counselling Centre of Nipissing have just ratified a new and first collective agreement.

The bargaining committee members of Community Counselling Centre of Nipissing were able to bring a new, collective agreement to their membership on March 22

"The bargaining committee is happy to report that the membership voted 91 per cent in favour of accepting the terms of the new first agreement," said Andy Mitchell, president of Unifor Local 103.

The agreement includes a three-year contract, improvements in language, increase in benefits and wage increases over three years along with a new Defined Benefit pension plan.

"The negotiations, which started shortly after the members voted to join Unifor, earlier this year, went well, talks were cordial and both parties agree that this is a fair deal and shows our commitment to the success of the Community Counselling Centre of Nipissing," added Mitchell.
