(HEARST, ON) -On December 26, 2014, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Hearst Detachment responded to the report of a vehicle theft event that occurred at a gas and diesel shop located on Highway 11 in Hearst, Ontario. 

The police investigation revealed that sometime between the late afternoon hours of December 24 and early morning of December 26, 2014, suspect(s) attended the involved business property and stole a parked white 2008 Ford cube van containing a welder and numerous commercial tools estimated to be worth over $60,000.

Police have since recovered the stolen vehicle but the welder and a large number of tools are still missing. An OPP Scenes of Crime Officer (SOCO) is now assisting with the investigation.

The OPP is appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity or has any information about this theft to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
