Neil Forth died unexpectedly on Friday, January 25, at the North Bay Regional Health, holding his beloved wife Suzanne’s hand, at the age of 77. 

He and Suzanne (nee McCallum) met in high school and celebrated 55 years of marriage. 

He was predeceased by all of his brothers; Ken, Gary, Ron (Cheryl of Pennsylvania), Frank (Kathy of North Bay), and Doug (Vivian of North Bay) and sisters Elva and Dolores. 

Born and raised in North Bay Neil was predeceased by his parents Bill and Eva Forth. 

A talented hockey player, he has been a well-respected member of the North Bay sports community. In his youth, he played for the Johnstown Jets in the American Hockey League before returning home to raise his young family.

Neil's warmth and ease with people served him well during a long career in business.

Respecting his wishes his body will be cremated.  Friends are invited to join his family at Martyn Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm.  A service to celebrate his life will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:30 pm Wednesday, January 30.  If you’d like to honour his memory with a memorial donation please consider the Heart Failure Clinic at Health Sciences North, or the Diabetes Society.
