POLICE CHARGE BARRIE MAN WITH CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENCES
(BARRIE, ON) - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, Technological Crime Unit and the Barrie Police Service have arrested and charged a Barrie man following an on-line undercover child pornography investigation.
On January 7th, 2015 police executed a search warrant at a Barrie residence. As a result of this investigation, three computer systems and related electronic evidence was seized which contained images of child sexual abuse.
On January 7th, 2015, police arrested Anthony PITOCCO, 28 years-old of Barrie, Ontario. He is charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography, one count of Accessing Child Pornography and one count of Making Available Child Pornography. The accused will appear for a bail hearing on January 8th, 2015 in Barrie, Ontario at the Ontario Court of Justice.
The investigation is continuing.
