"The North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce (NBDCC) Charity Golf Tournament held this past summer was a smashing sold-out success and the proceeds of the event are going to a deserving local charity," says a news release.

“I’m so thrilled to present a cheque for $2,500 to the North Bay and Area Community Foundation to build on the Chamber endowment fund,” said Donna Backer, Interim President of NBDCC.

“We couldn’t have asked for better weather that day and all the golfers and volunteers had a terrific day at Osprey Links,” added Backer.

The North Bay and Area Community Foundation’s (NBACF) goal is to be a philanthropic leader, catalyst, and resource in enabling North Bay and Area to grow and flourish into a model community.

“Building on endowments like the Chamber Fund will help strengthen our community for the benefit of all its members today and into the future,” said Kate Merritt-Dupelle, Executive Director of the NBACF. “We are so pleased and thankful to the Chamber, their sponsors, and the golf tourney participants for their generosity,”

The Chamber is planning the 2023 NBDCC Charity Golf Tournament with dates and details to follow.
