Capitol Centre introduces new Holiday Series of live productions and Festive Films

The Capitol Centre has launched its new smart-ticket system that automatically blocks off seats around purchased tickets to ensure a safe bubble for patrons

Ticket sales are limited to 50 people per show and COVID-19 safety protocols are in place to help provide a safe space to enjoy the arts. 

This is the first time since the pandemic began that the Capitol Centre has booked live performance ticketed shows with anticipation of welcoming an audience into the building.

The Capitol Centre has also launched its new smart-ticket system that automatically blocks off seats around purchased tickets to ensure a safe bubble for patrons.

HOLIDAY SERIES 2020:

  • The Spoons, live performance on November 19th and 20th.  This intimate performance with the Juno award-winning Spoons will be a night to remember as the Electric Duo of Gord Deppe and Sandy Horne perform all your favourites and new hits.
  • Canada’s Ballet Jorgen – Creations in Isolation, live performances on November 27th, 28th, and 29th.  This program features classic ballets like Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Anne of Green Gables and additional contemporary creations.
  • Christmas with the Hogtown Brass, live performances on December 5th and 6th. Hogtown Brass is a dynamic Canadian ensemble of accomplished musicians from a variety of diverse artistica backgrounds. This performance will be a night full of holiday favourites that everyone in the family can enjoy.
  • Johnny Max & Chuck Jackson -' Separated at Girth', live performances on December 12th and 13th. Double Juno nominee Johnny Max teams up with Juno winner Chuck Jackson who is the lead singer of Downchild Canada’s Blues Band. They bring their fun-loving styles together to play their favourites blues tunes along with a few holiday surprises.

  • National Lampoons’ Christmas Vacation, Rated 14A, film on December 3rd
  • It’s a Wonderful Life, Rated G, film on December 10th
  • Polar Express, Rated G, film on December 18th
