A road rage incident in Bracebridge Monday could have turned ugly very quickly,

On April 6, at 4:45 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers were sent to a road rage incident that occurred on North Kashe Lake Road.

The victim reported to police that another vehicle was driving erratically and passed her at a high rate of speed. The vehicle then turned around and the driver produced a knife from inside her car and threatened the victim.

Police located the suspect at a rest stop and conducted an investigation.

The driver, Sasha Wood, 27, of Bracebridge, was charged with "uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm" and "possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose."

Wood will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 16.
