Temagami residents will have access to modern, reliable water and wastewater services that meet their needs.

An upgrade will safeguard the health and well-being of residents, protect waterways and preserve local ecosystems while laying the foundation for new economic opportunities to strengthen the middle class across the province says a news release.

Anthony Rota, Member of Parliament for Nipissing–Timiskaming, and Lorie Hunter, Mayor of the Municipality of Temagami today announced that three new projects in Temagami have been approved under the Government of Canada’s Clean Water and Waste Water Fund. The federal government is providing up to 50 per cent of funding for these projects — $91,539. The provincial government is providing $45,769, and the Municipality of Temagami will provide the balance of funding.
