Bat Walk planned for Laurier woods

The hikes are offered at no charge and open to young and old alike

The Friends of Laurier Woods, a non-profit charitable organization, is offering themed interpretive hikes throughout the summer and autumn at the Laurier Woods Conservation Area.

The Saturday, September 1st walk will be guided by Rebecca Geauvreau and will focus on bats in Laurier Woods.  The 2-hour hike will start at 8 p.m. from the parking lot at the end of Brule Street. The hikes are offered at no charge and open to young and old alike. 

Hikers are reminded to wear appropriate footwear.

Laurier Woods Conservation Area, within the heart of the City of North Bay and adjacent to Home Depot, features a 12-kilometre trail network through significant wetlands and upland forest.
