BREAK ENTER AND THEFT TO ARMOUR TOWNSHIP RESIDENCE

(ARMOUR TWP, ON) – On Wednesday May 20, 2015 at approximately 10:45 a.m., the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a break, enter and theft to a Skyline Drive residence.

Unknown person(s) entered the residence sometime between the end of November 2014 and May 16, 2015.  Suspect(s) stole an RCA 27 inch television and a digital video disc (DVD), worth approximately $300.

Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this theft should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.

              OPP INVESTIGATE THEFT OF ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE

(CHAPMAN TWP, ON) – The Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the theft of a silver 2009 Moto CF all-terrain vehicle (ATV) that occurred sometime between Saturday May 16, 2015 and Sunday May 17, 2015 from a Halls Road residence.

Unknown person(s) entered the residence garage and stole the vehicle that is valued at approximately $5000.

Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this theft should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.

              FEMALE DRIVER ARRESTED FOR IMPAIRED DRIVING

(STRONG TWP, ON) – On Sunday May 24, 2015 the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 11, just south of the Highway 124 exit.

As a result of a police investigation, the female driver, Cheryl MISKE, 44 of Midland Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offences:

• Care or control while impaired, contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
• Care or control over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the criminal Code
• Possession of a controlled substance, hydro morphine, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
• Fail to report accident, contrary to section 199(1) of the Highway Traffic Act

The accused was released from police custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday, June 25, 2015 in Sundridge Ontario.
