There is a drive-by at 908 Wyld St. this Saturday, (tomorrow) October 3 between 3 and 4 p.m.at the corner of Wyld and Fourth

David Carlin is a retired and well-loved art teacher of 28 years at Widdifield High School.

Since retirement, many exhibitions of David’s work, in Ontario and Cuba, have earned him great respect as a skilled and enormously creative and diverse artist. His unique works are valued additions to many collections in Ontario and beyond.

This Wednesday, September 30 marked David’s 80th birthday.

He continues to produce critically acclaimed and award-winning pieces in his studio here in North Bay. He and his wife Judith remain adventurous travellers, only sitting tight for the moment under pandemic precautions. They have spent the last 20 years’ cold-weather months in Cuba and the Dominican Republic, and in warmer months have travelled widely in Canada with their trailer.

David is an adored father and grandfather and a good friend to many. And he has inspired the journeys of countless creative people.

There is a drive-by at 908 Wyld St. this Saturday, (tomorrow) October 3 between 3 and 4 p.m.at the corner of Wyld and Fourth.

Honk if you drive by—in celebration of an incredibly well-lived, adventurous, and inspiring long life.

Sincerely, Sarah (David’s daughter)
