(ARMOUR TWP, ON) On Sunday February 15, 2015 at 12:45 p.m., the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision on Pickerel and Jack Lake Road, Armour Township.
Upon further investigation of the collision OPP arrested and charged the driver, Derek SIMMONS, 41 of Armour Township with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and drive with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood, contrary to the Criminal Code, Possession of a controlled substance, marihuana, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on March 26, 2015 in Sundridge, Ontario.
