The Almaguin Highlands OPP patrolled the area this Thanksgiving weekend from Friday to Monday and as a result of the enforcement, officers issued a total of 65 Provincial Offence Notices.
Officer charged:
- 47 drivers for speeding,
- eight drivers/passengers were charged with not wearing their seatbelt,
- one driver was charged with drive-hand held communication device and
- two drivers were charged with fail to carry licence
- Five drivers were charged with failing to provide insurance card
Officers also conducted R.I.D.E programs throughout the area but there were no impaired drivers charged.
