All Heart Pet Rescue in Powassan will benefit from a Virtual 5K Fun Walk/Run called "North Bay Furry Friends 5K" as a fundraiser for the facility.
The event is being organized by Katie Sloat and Sam Kurtzer.
The cost per participant is $20 which includes a branded buff. Sloat says 100 of proceeds will go to the pet rescue
Each participant will complete a 5K Walk or Run any time between Friday June 19 and Sunday June 21. Sloat hopes to see people post a photo afterward.

Sloat says the pet rescue is aware, but is not involved in the fundraiser.
"We have chosen to specify one organization for this event as it is our first go at it and we figured it was best to stay small and focused In future iterations we are hopeful to make it larger and support more animal rescues," she explained.
