Alcohol involved in Goreville Road accident say OPP

Police investigation revealed that a Quebec man had consumed alcohol and was subsequently arrested and charged

On Saturday October 24 at  3:40 a.m., Powassan OPP investigated a single motor vehicle accident on Goreville Road, Laurier Township, south of Trout Creek.

Police investigation revealed that Francois Boucher, 53, of LA Sarre, Quebec had consumed alcohol and was subsequently arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol, 
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

Boucher was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday, December 10 in Sundridge.
