OPP INVESTIGATE NUMEROUS COLLISIONS DURING WINTER STORM
(ALMAGUIN HIGHLANDS, ON) The Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated 24 motor vehicle collisions between Tuesday November 18, 2014 and Thursday November 20, 2014 during the heavy snow fall.
OPP report there were no major injuries sustained to any of the drivers or passengers involved in the collisions, however police would like to remind drivers when the weather is bad to reduce their speed to the weather conditions, or if you do not need to be out driving, stay home.
(ALMAGUIN HIGHLANDS, ON) This year’s festive R.I.D.E (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) campaign runs from Monday November 24, 2014 to January 2, 2015 in the Almaguin Highlands area.
Police would like to remind motorists that the festive R.I.D.E. program will be done throughout the Almaguin Highlands area in support of this very important initiative. Please don’t drink and drive, have a designated driver, call a cab or a friend, walk or stay the night, but do not get behind the wheel of a vehicle if you have been drinking.
