Over the weekend, the North Bay Police Service responded to 192 calls for service that resulted in 20 arrests. Offences included assault (domestic); threats (domestic); public intoxication; food fraud (the person charged was accused of not paying for a meal at a local restaurant); theft under $5000 (shoplifting); robbery using firearm; disguise with intent; and breaches.

CORRECTION and UPDATE - Armed robbery in Callander

Following a news release issued on Friday, please note the following correction. The man accused of robbery using firearm and disguise with intent was the passenger in the car described, not the driver.

The accused is still in custody at the district jail, following his W.A.S.H. court (weekends and statutory holidays) video remand that took place on Saturday December 13th. His bail hearing will take place at 10 a.m. today (Monday December 15th, 2014).
