$140,061.15 raised as hundreds participate in North Bay
Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure

North Bay Sunday October 5, 2014 - More than 566 participants gathered today at the North Bay Waterfront to help raise $140,061.15 for the breast cancer cause. Dollars raised through the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure help fund innovative research, health education and advocacy programs that aim to reduce the incidence and mortality rates of breast cancer and help support women and their families who have experienced the disease.

“We would like to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made today a success as we celebrate 10 years – participants, donors, sponsors and volunteers.   It is only with your generosity that we can continue funding breast cancer research that is changing the landscape of what is known about how to prevent, detect, diagnose and treat the disease.  Because of you, we are getting closer to a future without breast cancer.” Anne Marie Desjardin and Melanie Gainforth Co-Run Directors.
