Tackaberry fire site now a crime scene (updated)
A 26-year-old man has been charged with arson and other charges in connection with a house fire this afternoon at 610 Tackaberry Drive. Police were treating the fire as suspicious and had assigned a constable to investigate.

The North Bay Fire Department is now on the scene of a house fire at 610 Tackaberry Drive. The house is a semi-detached structure and the fire may have spread to 612 Tackaberry, the neighbouring home. Baytoday.

Tough and totalling times for Toyota trucks
North Bay emergency crews were kept busy Thursday, as cold and rainy weather combined to make driving along city streets treacherous. The Toyota truck above was involved in an accident near the Judge Avenue side of the overpass.

Golf Course Road, 10:30 a.m.
A woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries following a single motor vehicle accident this morning on Golf Course Road. The woman lost control of her Toyota 4x4 and smashed into a tree with such force the vehicle's airbags were deployed.

Fire leaves tenants homeless (updated)
Fire has destroyed an apartment house at 221 Fifth Ave. E in North Bay, leaving six people homeless. The North Bay Fire Department received the call around 5:30 this morning, said chief fire prevention officer Paul Aultman.
