A 44-year-old North Bay man has been charged after allegations he had sexually assaulted a teenage girl.

A North Bay man required hospital treatment following a home invasion Thursday afternoon at his Fourth Avenue E residence. The North Bay Police Service said two men entered the home shortly before 3 p.m.

No changes to Lake Temagami walleye size limits

Motorists trapped in MVC on 17

Three people were trapped in a two-vehicle head-on collision this morning on Highway 17, approximately five kms west of Rutherglen, in Bonfield Twp.

Hwy 17 reopened

Hwy 11, five kilometres east of Rutherglen, has been reopened. The North Bay Ontario Provincial Police had closed the highway earlier today following a motor vehicle collision.

Judge sends city cop to trial

Christi Lafrance will be tried on an assault charge in the Superior Court of Ontario. A preliminary hearing was held Monday for Lafrance, a constable with the North Bay Police Service, and Justice Jean-Gilles Lebel ultimately sent the case to trial.
