Woman dies in Hwy 11 crash

Cheryl Moore, 36, died from the injuries she received after her 1998 Ford Pickup left the road just north of the Hwy 654 exit to Callander.

Her vehicle was seen fish tailing shortly after it passed another north bound vehicle and then left the roadway, striking rocks on the east side of the highway, before flipping into the ditch.

Callander volunteer fire fighters helped extricate the victim from her vehicle and she was taken to the North Bay General Hospital where she passed away.

A post mortem examination will take place to attempt to determine if other issues may have been involved in the collision.

OPP Technical Traffic Investigator Const. Wayne Miller attended the scene to assist in the investigation.
