  • Bayfield Inlet - Dunchurch
  • South River - Burk's Falls
  • Huntsville - Baysville
  • Town of Parry Sound - Rosseau - Killbear Park

The travel advisory is in effect for this afternoon and early evening.

Lake effect snow with amounts near 10 cm by this evening. Reduced visibilities in heavy snow and local blowing snow. Wind south 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming light late this afternoon. High minus 5

Lake effect snow is forecast to intensify near midday in a stiff southwesterly flow off of Georgian Bay. In addition, early this evening a strong cold front will move through the area. A quick 2 to 4 cm of snow along with near-zero visibilities at times in blowing snow can be expected with this cold front.

The snow will be pushed south of the region this evening as winds shift to the north.

Low tonight minus 26. Wind chill minus 9 this evening and minus 34 overnight. Risk of frostbite.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
