A developing disturbance over Iowa will move northeastward tonight and reach central Lake Huron Sunday evening and stall over eastern Ontario through Monday.

Periods of snow will begin in the Sault Ste Marie area near midnight and spread northeastward to the Québec border overnight and continuing throughout much of Monday. The heavier snowfall is slated to begin near daybreak and continue into Sunday night where in excess of 15 centimetres is expected. Local amounts of 20 to 25 cm are possible due to the duration of the event.

In addition..Strong northeasterly winds of 30 to 50 km/h will create appreciable drifting and blowing snow. Travellers are advised to exercise extreme caution or alter travel plans if possible.
