The coronavirus is having another big impact on normal life.

The North Bay Farmers Market will cease operation of its current winter market season effective immediately.

"The decision follows news that the North Bay Mall, on Lakeshore Drive, the location of our winter indoor market, will temporarily close a large section of the mall due to measures associated with the Covid-19 crisis," says a news release.

"We acknowledge that the news is a hit to the security of food supplies in Northern Ontario, we would like to remind everyone to shop locally wherever possible."

You can still check the  North Bay Farmers’ Market Facebook page for details on how you can contact the various food producers and vendors directly.

The summer season starts in May.
