You think you're having a bad day --- consider this.

A guy's garage catches fire yesterday afternoon near Burk's Falls so he calls the fire department.

The firefighters call the OPP to help them out.

OPP arrive at the Ferguson Road property, and notice a large amount of marijuana plants growing inside the nearby house.

That's when things got a lot worse.

Almaguin Highlands OPP uniform and Crime Unit members executed a search warrant later that same day, and with help from the North East Region Drug Enforcement Unit, the Burk’s Falls and District Fire Department, the Ontario Fire Marshalls Office and Hydro One, they seized 655 marijuana plants and a variety of drug production equipment with an approximate value of $655,000.

Police are continuing to investigate and charges are pending.
