What’s happening at the old Target location?

“Crombie is working on a number of opportunities for the former Target site.”

It’s been almost two years now since the North Bay’s Target store closed its doors for the final time.

However, there is word that the building could have a new tenant or tenants soon.

Sources have told BayToday.ca that the former Zellers and Target store may be compartmentalized to house a pair of new businesses.

Officials at Crombie REIT, who own the facility off Algonquin avenue next to Staples, would not confirm the news.

“Crombie is working on a number of opportunities for the former Target site,” stated Karen Solursh-Smith, Regional Director of Leasing in Central Canada for Crombie REIT.

“Due to tenant confidentiality, we cannot provide more information at this time.”

The Target stores across Canada opened their doors in 2013, including the North Bay location.

All of the Canadian Target locations were closed less than two years later.
