On Friday March 21st the West Nipissing Police Service executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant at a Nipissing Street residence in Sturgeon Falls.
At approximately 1:00 pm police entered the residence and took two men into custody.
The residence was searched and police located, non-prescribed oxycodone pills, methamphetamine (speed) pills, marijuana, crack cocaine, cocaine, cash and a firearm (Shotgun).
Thirty seven year old Joseph Nixon of Sturgeon Falls faces the following charges;
- five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance,
- possession of a firearm while prohibited,
- carless storage of a firearm,
- and possession of a property obtained by crime
Twenty Five year old Francois Shank of Sturgeon Falls faces two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance.
Both men were held in custody and are appearing for bail.
