Kim Willson of Crystal Falls and Robert Collette of Sturgeon Falls have won a $50,000 top prize with "INSTANT BINGO".

“I bought a few tickets and headed back to Robert’s place,” recalled Kim while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto where the couple picked up their winnings. “The first ticket I scratched was the big winner.”

“We headed out the door right away,” shared Robert. “But before we went to the store we stopped at our neighbours home to share the good news.”

Once the pair arrived at the store, they validated their winning ticket. “Everyone in the store was so happy for us.”

Kimberly and Robert went back home to celebrate. “We had a few cold drinks and phoned our kids.”

As for plans for the windfall, Kim and Robert have a few.

“My log cabin home sits on a beautiful parcel of land and things need fixing, including the garage,” said Kimberly about her share of the windfall. Meanwhile, Robert said, “Kim’s birthday is in a couple of weeks so I better not forget that! We will definitely celebrate this win and her special day along with some friends.”

INSTANT BINGO is available for $3 a play and the top prize is $50,000. To win, players need to scratch a line, 4 corners, a letter T, a letter X or an outside box on their Bingo game cards. Odds of winning a prize are 1 in 3.45.

The winning ticket was purchased at Stop & Shop on King Street in Sturgeon Falls.
