Weapons sent for mass destruction

Instead Dubeau, of the North Bay Police Service, was recently allowing local media to take a look at just some of the weapons which have been seized by police over the last four months.

All the guns in the accompanying photographs are replicas, Dubeau said, but they represent just 30 per cent of weapons confiscated by police.

The weapons, real and otherwise, as well as a collection of pipes, bongs and other drug paraphernalia also seized, have been sent to the Inco smelter in Sudbury for destruction.
