Weapon used in Lakeshore Drive convenience store robbery

The robber brandished a weapon at an employee while demanding access to the store’s safe

North Bay police say a convenience store on the 500 block of Lakeshore Drive was robbed last week by someone with a weapon and demanding access to the safe.

The crime took place at approximately 6:05 a.m. on Thursday, November 4 but was not publicly reported by police, nor has the type of weapon been disclosed.

At the time, police got a report that an unknown man had robbed the store store. Now they are seeking the public's help in identifying the thief.

Police say the man,  described as wearing a grey hoodie, "brandished a weapon at an employee while demanding access to the store’s safe."

After being told that the store’s panic button had been activated and police were on their way, the robber fled the store on foot with several snack items. His direction of escape is unknown at this time.

The North Bay Police Service is asking anyone who may have information including security camera or dashcam video in the area around the time of the incident to contact police.
