Tanya Vrebosch is eyeing the Liberal nomination in Nipissing for the June provincial election.

Tanya Vrebosch is putting her name forward to run as the Ontario Liberal Party's candidate for Nipissing.

Ontario Liberal Leader Steven Del Duca will join an online nomination meeting Wednesday evening. It is expected Vrebosch will be acclaimed and receive the party's nomination to run as its candidate in Nipissing in the June 2, 2022, Ontario general election.

Vrebosch is a veteran member of the North Bay City Council, serving as deputy mayor this term. She is employed by the District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board. Vrebosch would take a leave of absence from her municipal council duties once the campaign officially begins in May.

Vrebosch would join incumbent Ontario Progressive Conservative candidate Vic Fedeli and Ontario New Democrat Party hopeful Erika Lougheed in the race to become Member of Provincial Parliament for the Nipissing riding.

BayToday will have coverage of Wednesday's nomination meeting.
