A motor vehicle and train collided this afternoon at a rail crossing on Highway 17 in Coniston at around 4 p.m.
The road was closed for approximately an hour, and the driver of the vehicle was transported to Health Sciences North with serious, non life-threatening injuries.
Highway 17 was re-opened at around 5 p.m. and traffic is moving once again.
