Victim's name released in that double transport collision near Temagami

Police has released the name of the woman who died in that tractor-trailer collision near Temagami Friday.

Shortly before 9 a.m., Temiskaming Detachment OPP officers responded to a collision between two tractor trailers on Highway 11.

The driver of the northbound vehicle, who had to be extricated, sustained serious injuries, while his passenger Amandeep Kaur Mangat, age 33, of Brampton, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the southbound vehicle sustained minor injuries.

No charges have yet been laid.

Police say the collision occurred, north of Tonomo Lake Road in Temagami when a southbound tractor-trailer entered the northbound lane and collided with a northbound tractor-trailer. 

Highway 11 was re-opened at 12:18 a.m. on Saturday. 

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators attended the scene and are assisting with this ongoing investigation.
