Vehicle rammed during domestic dispute

OPP arrested a man last week after a car was used in a domestic dispute.

On June 13, North Bay Detachment OPP officers responded to a collision in Powassan.   

Police investigation revealed that a vehicle rammed another vehicle during a domestic dispute.

Officers arrested and charged a 46-year-old man from West Nipissing with "Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm." 

He was released on a Promise to Appear and Undertaking with Conditions.

Meanwhile, on June 6, the North Bay OPP received a call about a domestic dispute that occurred in Phelps Township.   

The accused was located on June 14, and arrested and held in custody. A 32-year-old from North Bay was charged with:

  • Fail to comply with recognizance (two counts);
  • Uttering threats; and
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

The accused was remanded into custody pending bail and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay at a later date.
