Two adults from North Bay have been ticketed for breaking COVID restrictions in New Liskeard.
Last night, Temiskaming OPP responded to a call about an unlawful gathering at a residence on Jaffray Street in Temiskaming Shores.
"Further investigation revealed that there were people in contravention of the recently implemented 'Stay at Home Order', under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act," said Constable Jennifer Smith.
As a result, a 46-year-old and a 53-year-old are charged with "Adult Individual - fail to comply with a continued section 7.0.2 order, contrary to the Reopening Ontario Act.
The fine is $750.

"It is important that the public understands that there are consequences for individuals who defy the EMCPA and the ROA orders that are in place," added Smith.
