Two males charged after street robbery

On the 21st. of Oct. at approximately 7:45 pm three (3) young males were walking together on Lavase Rd. in North Bay. At this time it is alleged that two of the youths began to attack the 3rd. one. The victim was chocked by one of the assailants while the other punched about the body. Then at knife point, they made the victim empty his pockets and give them his cell phone, hat and folding knife.

Csts. Ken Ayres and Steve Trahan of the North Bay Police received the call and arrested two suspects shortly after while hitchhiking on Highway 63.

Andrew DAOUST 19 years old of No Fixed Address is also charged with Robbery as well as 2 counts of Breach of Probation.

The other 17 year old male is charged with Robbery and Breach of Probation.

Both were kept in custody for a bail hearing.
