Two face drug charges after traffic stop

North Bay Police arrested two adults on drug trafficking-related charges Monday and seized suspected drugs.

A vehicle was stopped on shortly after 4 p.m. on Second Avenue in North Bay.

The driver had a suspended license and after speaking with the couple both were arrested and a search resulted in the seizure of drugs and cash.

Police seized:

  • Approximately 80 grams of suspected cocaine
  • Approximately 1.8 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine
  • $1,840 cash
  • A set of digital scales

Justin Desrochier, 38, of North Bay is charged with:

  • Two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of a substance
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Driving under suspension

Rosemary Elson, 48, of North Bay is charged with:

  • Two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Desrochier and Elson were released from custody and will appear in a North Bay Courtroom on October 20 to answer to the charges.
