Two face drug charges

Street Crime Unit saw a suspected drug transaction.

While on duty Monday afternoon officers with the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime Unit saw a suspected drug transaction take place at McIntyre and Sherbrooke Streets.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged:

Paul William Southern, age 55, of North Bay with:

  • One count of trafficking; and
  • One count of possession of property obtained by crime

A 29-year old North Bay man with:

  • Two counts of possession of a schedule I substance.

As a result of a search of the two accused following their arrests, North Bay Police seized:

  • $447.90 in Canadian currency;
  • 16 methamphetamine pills; and
  • One morphine pill.

Both were released from custody with court appearances scheduled for October 11th.
