Two confirmed dead in Parry Sound area plane crash (Updated, photos added)

Police and Transport Canada have concluded their investigation into a plane crash that occurred yesterday evening shortly after 7:30 p.m.

The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Transport Canada Safety Board (TCSB) have concluded their investigation into a plane crash that occured in Seguin Township, says OPP.

Two bodies have been confirmed to be at the location of the site but the identities will not be confirmed until a post mortem has been completed at the Chief Coroner’s office in Toronto.

Yesterday, shortly after 7:30 p.m., members of the West Parry Sound Detachment of the OPP were advised of an aircraft going down in Seguin Township.

A passing motorist on Highway 400 watched the plane go down and called 911.

OPP, Emergency Medical Services and Seguin Fire responded and found the crash site.

Investigation revealed that the plane had two occupants that were confirmed dead at the scene.

The identities of the two people have not been released.

OPP members will continue to secure the scene until Transport Canada Safety Board arrives and continues the investigation into the crash.
