Original story:

A traffic accident involving a school bus and an SUV this morning around 8 a.m. closed Trout Lake Road just north of Lee's Road.

The bus, which witnesses say did not contain any passengers, was at one point partially hanging over the guardrail. A witness said the school bus swerved and collided with the oncoming SUV.

Stock Transportation officials gave BayToday.ca a brief statement around 10 a.m. today.

“At this point, it is very early in the accident and we are still investigating, I don’t want to provide you with any preliminary information only because that could change moment to moment, so still investigating and we should have more information later today,” said Kate Walpen, Stock Transportation Communications Director.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital, with one believed in serious condition.

Traffic is closed in both directions.
