When the West Ferris Trojans met the unbeaten Korah Colts from the Soo at the Steve Omischl Sports Complex Saturday they played without their captain, injured and in hospital.
That didn't stop the West Ferris Trojans offense from a scorching start as the locals upset the Colts 25-24 to capture the NOSSA championship.
But watch what happens next. Kirt Trahan shot this video as the 2017 NOSSA Champs made a surprise visit, with the Poupore Cup in hand, to injured captain Jay Turnsek at the North Bay and District General Hospital.

The Trojans now head to Northern Bowl to face the Thunder Bay champions.
