Weather advisory issued for:

  • Burk's Falls - Bayfield Inlet
  • Huntsville - Baysville, 
  • Deep River - Whitney - Eastern Algonquin Park

A winter weather travel advisory in effect for overnight and Tuesday.

A band of snow will move over Central and Eastern Ontario overnight, reaching the Ottawa area towards morning. Snow will continue well into Tuesday afternoon. Total amounts near 10 cm are expected, with a few locally higher amounts near 15 cm possible near the Ottawa River.

Poor winter driving conditions from accumulating snow and low visibility in briefly heavier snow are likely by Tuesday morning. Both the morning and afternoon commute will be affected. Motorists should allow extra time to reach their destination.

Snow will taper off by Tuesday evening as a warm front moves through and temperatures rise to near or just above the freezing mark.
