Traffic delays on Lakeshore Drive this week

The road will be pulverized, graded, compacted, and paved with two lifts of asphalt

The city says its 2017 asphalt resurfacing program will cause traffic disruptions on Lakeshore Drive starting tomorrow morning.

The shave and pave rehabilitation from Ferris Drive to Booth Road is scheduled to start tomorrow (Thursday) and will be finished Friday, September 1, weather permitting.

The road will be pulverized, graded, compacted, and paved with two lifts of asphalt.

Due to the nature of the work, traffic will be impacted and may experience minor delays. However, roads will remain open to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Late next week, the road will be closed and a detour will be set up to direct travelers around the site to facilitate the final paving operation.
