Traffic delays as Trout Lake Road reconstruction progresses

Motorists should consider adding extra time to their schedule or taking an alternate route while this work is underway

Delays and changes in traffic controls should be expected as the reconstruction of a section of Trout Lake Road between Mountainview Drive and Lees Road progresses.

Currently, traffic has been reduced to a single lane just east of Average Joe’s using automated signals. The length of the lane closure will increase and the location of the automated signals will shift as the work progresses.

Mountainview Drive is expected to re-open in the next two weeks, at which time Lakeside Drive will be closed and traffic detoured to Mountainview Drive.

Motorists should consider adding extra time to their schedule or taking an alternate route while this work is underway.

The project includes pulverizing and paving of the roadway, the addition of bike lanes, and a new sidewalk from Mountainview Drive to Lakeside Drive. The portion of roadway fronting Average Joe’s will be reconstructed with a new storm sewer system and all existing guide rail systems will be replaced.

Completion of the works is expected by the end of October.
