OPP say a pair of tourists drove their car off a 100 ft cliff at the Lion's Lookout in Huntsville Monday morning.

Two very lucky people suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

It happened just after 8:30 am, when Huntsville OPP, along with the Fire Department and Muskoka Paramedic Services were called to the scene.

"Emergency services found that an SUV had driven over the edge of the lookout and fallen approximately 38 meters landing on its roof," said OPP spokesman Aaron Gathmann. "The two occupants were extricated from the vehicle by Huntsville Fire and transported to a local area hospital."

The male driver was treated for minor injuries and released; the female passenger was later taken to a Toronto area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The couple were tourists from out of the country say police.

The vehicle had to drive over an eight inch high concrete parking barrier and push a huge boulder over the cliff as the SUV followed it down.

Lion's Lookout offers a stunning view of Huntsville and Fairy Lake.

Investigation is concluded no charges were laid.
