With its Leadership Convention days away, the public backlash against the Ontario Liberal Party shows no signs of abating. The protest scheduled for 1:00 pm on the Saturday January, 26 2013 at Allan Gardens promises to be the largest the party has faced since taking office in 2003.


100 Bus loads of people from all over Ontario including North Bay, Sudbury and Sault St Marie are scheduled to join thousands of protesters for a massive protest against the Liberal government’s cuts to public services and suspension of democratic rights.


“This rally isn’t simply education workers, and it isn’t even just labour, its communities groups and people from all walks of life that will be demanding the candidates too shift completely different course for Ontario one that puts people first” said Henri Giroux president North Bay and District Labour Council.


“This largest protest will demand these Liberal candidates to respect worker’s democratic rights to free collective bargaining and impartial contract arbitration” Said Giroux.


WHAT: North Bay Bus to the Rally

TIME: 7:30am departure from North Bay Memorial Garden

EVENT: Rally for Rights and Democracy, followed by a march to Ontario Liberal Convention at Maple Leaf garden
