Three areas of the city without power

'We are aware of large-scale outages currently affecting parts of North Bay'

Update noon:

The power has been restored to the south end of West Ferris. The cause was a broken line and insulator. The power was restored at 11:30 am.

Heavy snow is apparently to blame for at least three areas of North Bay being without power this morning.

"We are aware of large-scale outages currently affecting parts of North Bay. Approx. 3,000 customers." says the North Bay Hydro Twitter feed.

There is a power outage on Chadbourne, Evergreen, and Widdifield Station Rd. A tree there fell and broke the line. Approximately 200 customers are affected. Restoration time estimated to be 9 a.m.

Two other areas, the south portion of West Ferris, and the Trout Lake /Wallace Rd area are also out.

No timetable yet for restoration in those areas.
