Following a community-wide survey launched in November, the delegation from Baylor University is inviting the public to attend an open presentation on Friday, December 11 at 2 p.m. at the North Bay Regional Health Centre in the Auditorium.

A substantial response of 4,585 completed surveys will provide data that is a critical component to compiling valuable and relevant information and is the first of its kind for the community.

“The community response to the survey was tremendous. Thousands of residents took time to share their thoughts in a personal and meaningful way,” said Invest North Bay Development Corporation Board member and project co-lead, Kevin Hutchison. Tim Hutchison, project co-lead added, “We look forward to the community hearing the results of their survey first hand.”

With such a large pool of responses received in this first phase of the project, the Baylor MBA team has thousands of data points to analyze which will significantly contribute to the recommendations that will follow Phase Two of the Focus Firm Partnership Project.

The four MBA candidates working on Phase One of the project are eager to share the initial findings with the community who has shown significant and invaluable support since the team’s first visit in October.

Baylor MBA candidate, Jared Haney commented, "We really feel a part of the community, and look forward to sharing the results of the survey.”  Dr. Gary Carini, Dean of Baylor Business added, "We are excited to move to the next step in this wonderful project with North Bay. It has been incredibly rewarding for the students and has been a privilege to be able to work with such a great city."

Mayor Al McDonald concluded, “This is an innovative partnership that will have far-reaching results, and we are ecstatic that the community has shown its support as we continue to foster this relationship.”
