Centennial Waterfront Park Callander Bay on Lake Nipissing served as the perfect backdrop as the Clans gathered for this past weekends very successful 6th Annual Celtfest in Callander.

Celtfest is the only Celtic festival held in Northern Ontario and is a celebration of the sights, tastes and sounds of the Callander areas Scottish heritage. The weekend also provides a program of traditional highland dance competitions, pipe & drum bands, fiddle and step dance competitions, and professional highland games, including a reciting from Scotland's best-loved bard Robert Burns.

“It was a huge success … lots of people, sunshine, pipe bands and dancers, just a great party,” says Don Priebe Celtfest Board Member.

Board members will now start preparations for next year’s program.
